About us
We are an independent foundation created to turn European goodwill into practical, accountable help for the people of Ukraine.
Our story
EU-UKRAINE ASSISTANCE FOUNDATION was established in 2024 in Belgium as an independent, non-political non-profit. It grew from a simple observation: European solidarity with Ukraine is real, but it needs reliable channels, local knowledge and honest reporting to become lasting help.
We work with local partners and international organisations to support people who have lost homes, income, family members or a sense of safety. We do not replace the state or other humanitarian actors; we add capacity where it is needed and stay accountable for every contribution we receive.
Our name is a promise: to act in the space between Europe and Ukraine with respect for both, and to keep the dignity of the people we serve at the centre of every decision.
Together for a Stronger Tomorrow.
Mission
We unite resources, knowledge and effort from the international community to support humanitarian, social, psychological and material assistance; to protect children, older people and people with disabilities; and to help communities recover.
Principles
The protection of life, health and human dignity is the first priority.
Help is provided on the basis of need, without discrimination by nationality, language, gender, age, religion, disability or political opinion.
We provide reliable reporting on the receipt and use of funds.
Leadership is responsible for decisions, financial discipline and the delivery of our mission.
The foundation is not used to promote party, commercial or private interests.
All projects are delivered in compliance with the law of the countries in which we work.
Personal data of people we support is protected in line with applicable requirements.
Receiving help is never conditional on political, religious or other activity unrelated to a person's needs.
Governance
The foundation separates strategy, management and oversight. The board sets strategy and approves the budget; the executive director runs the organisation; a supervisory function checks compliance, financial risk and conflicts of interest.
